Project Description

The Faux de Verzy is a beech forest in the Montagne de Reims Nature Park and is located near Reims in the D├ępartement Marne, France, where the world's largest collection of beech trees is found. The stock is estimated at about 800 specimens. These trees give the forest its name "Faux de Verzy". The word "fau" is the name for beech in the old French language (plural: faux, diminutive: fayet) and is derived from Latin.
